Thinking inside the box-the Bento Box, that is.

Remember what boxed lunch used to mean? For many, it was bartering with Yodels and Lunchable components, hoping you’ll come up with the right offer to make a good trade and snag the snack bag of potato chips your mom refused to buy. Here at Orlando Ichiban, we have a different way of doing things-cue Bento Box.

Although the concept of the Bento Box is nothing new (its Japanese origins have been traced back to the 5th century), we’re willing to bet many avid sushi lovers overlook the option. In Japan, traditional Bento Boxes range from anything between disposable trays for lunch on the go, to elaborately decorated boxes with attention to detail and aesthetic symmetry.

With different compartments for sauces, rice, noodles, meat, and vegetables, the types of Bento Boxes available are virtually limitless. Some presentations even concentrate on arranging the edible contents of the Bento Box into animals or cartoon characters! At Ichiban, our focus is on flavor and making sure our customer enjoys the most satisfying sampling we can offer.

Check out Bento Boxes on our lunch and dinner menus and be the kid everyone wants to make a trade with.
