The Whales Have Been Saved!!!

"The Hump restaurant in Santa Monica and chef Kiyoshiro Yamamoto face charges over "the illegal sale of a marine mammal product" after the Oscar-winning documentary makers of The Cove filmed them serving sei whale sushi."
                                                 - ABC News

The director of "The Cove" launched a "commando" style mission over a few months to unveil that this restaurant was selling endangered whale meat.  Now that it has been proven, the chef and owners are facing hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines, and closed their restaurant by themselves as a method of "self-punishment".

If you haven't seen "The Cove" yet, it is a really great film that will emotionally attach you to dolphins while informing you on "what is really going on..."

Sex, Drugs, and Wok and Roll...

A neo-Amsterdam Sushi restaurant set an awesome backdrop for a music video.  We know there is a real "kickin" music scene here in Orlando, which got us thinking...

Could Ichiban become an excellent backdrop for a music video?

If you are an artist in the area, looking to shoot a video...  Please let us know.  Sal at Endagon will handle any requests, so please email him at Sal.Greco@endagon.com with your band/artist info, including the song you would like to record.  He will review it, offer it to the rest of the Ichiban staff, and hopefully set up a date to shoot your music video.

We are looking forward to hearing what comes our way!

Fan Reviews: Krae on Citysearch

Hey Krae,

We would like to take this blog post to thank you for your kind review on City Search this week.

Although your personal City Search page does not reveal much about you, we'd like to think that your review has told us enough. We feel like we know you. And we think we love you.

Your profile picture (shown above) suggests that you're not a human being, but rather some sort of leaf-like entity. According to our customer projections, we have only serviced humans within the last several years, so your anonymity remains strong and mysterious to us.

Regardless of what type of being you are, we'd like to thank you for your positive review of our restaurant.

To claim that we have the BEST sushi in ALL of Orlando is very flattering, and we love that both you and your boyfriend have been coming to see us for close to a decade.

Our sushi will stay fresh as long as you continue spreading the word. Our chefs will remain friendly as long as you reveal your true self. And finally, our Jen Roll will stay delicious as long as you keep visiting us as often as possible.

We appreciate you more than you know. Thank you very much.
