The Zacapa Society

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Diageo for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Alongside our love for food, our ever-expanding admiration of fine wine and liquors has become a major part of our wellbeing. While we may not have the resources to consume some of the oldest wines and the finest spirits, but you better believe we drink plenty of sake and our special saketinis. :)

Other than sake, my alcohol of choice is probably rum. I'm sure all of you have heard of some of the big common names in the rum industry, but I have something far better and more interesting for you to try.

The brand of rum is Zacapa premium rum. They offer the smoothest rum that has been put into a very complex aging process. The process creates a very unique and bold flavored rum. To be exact, Zacapa is a premium dark rum.

More Deals Coming.... On Facebook!

We hope you're following us on Facebook. If you're not, you might miss out on daily deals and exciting opportunities to enjoy our cuisine.

While we have been active on both Facebook and Twitter before most businesses in the world, we have yet to take full advantage of the power of Facebook. That is why we plan to expand our efforts on FB, be even more engaging, and reward the individuals that support us the most.

We've already started running ads on Facebook to make sure we have all of our customers as fans. So far, it's worked a great deal. In a few weeks time, more than 1,000 of you have "liked" us. Thank you so much!

If you don't currently like us on Facebook, we'd appreciate it if you did so now.

As soon as you see that you can get free lunches, 50% off dinners, and anything else our crazy minds can think of, you'll be very happy you did.

We Won't Harm Your Computer!

Starting last month, our web team noticed that our web server was compromised. It wasn't long before Google picked up on a malicious script that was installed via the hack, thus our site was stamped with a warning notice ever since.

Over the last few weeks, our web team has been fighting this malicious script feverishly. After having manually removed the script, it was evident that it kept regenerating itself. Needless to say, it has been an uphill battle.

Today, we brought in the experts to finalize this horrible issue we have been facing. After much debate, the solution was clear.

Please allow us to get really web technical for a second. Some of you may not be able to follow this at all.

Because the website sat on the root folder of the server, we analyzed the script and noticed that it ONLY existed on the root. This allowed us to realize that if we moved the entire site into its own folder off of the root and repointed the domain to the new destination on the server, we would be in business.

Joila! We did it and it worked.

A few hours ago, we submitted the harmless version of the site to Google through Webmaster Tools and we are now expecting the notice to be lifted in the coming days.

We want to acknowledge that this issue has probably concerned many of our customers, especially new ones when coming to our site. If you did go into our site through the error message, don't be alarmed. The script was not actually harmful. It was a marketing script that has nothing to do with harming people's computers.

We look forward to having a completely clean site again. Hopefully we will never have to experience something like this ever again.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.
